Consumer Education in the Green Marketplace

While many of the tenets of social marketing are often associated with public education campaigns for governments and nonprofits, they have their role for the private sector as well. Steve Roberts, VP of EnviroMedia, will share two case studies from their past: how EnviroMedia helped Dell go from “Environmental Laggard” to “Environmental Leader,” and how a key to helping Green Mountain Energy Company recognize record sales was in educating their future customers. The case studies will be the starting point for a discussion about the intersection of consumer education, sustainability and the marketplace.
