Managing IP in association with Morrison & Foerster
At the end of June, the US House of Representatives passed a patent reform bill six years in the making, joining the Senate in passing legislation shifting the US to a first-to-file system and significantly expanding the options available for challenging a patent after it has been granted. While the House bill must still be voted on by the Senate and signed into law by the president, patent practitioners and companies must begin preparing for the changes now.
This webinar will examine the new post-grant system, including the elimination of inter partes reexamination, establishment of post-grant review proceedings, special transitional post-grant review of business method patents and supplemental examination.
