EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres
With over 15 years experience in data centre, IT infrastructure, software development and solution design Liam has delivered services and products used by many of the UK’s largest businesses. Liam has held a wide variety of roles ranging from operational management to product engineering in which he has brought to market a number of data centre based product offerings for businesses such as Digital Island and Cable & Wireless. Today, both as a volunteer at the BCS Data Centre Specialist Group and commerically at Romonet, Liam works to bring understanding, control and transparency to data centre and energy costs through research, software tools, consulting and policy work. His goal is to help reverse the loss of accountability and cost control that has accompanied the transition to virtualisation and cloud technologies.
