What has Enterprise Energy Management got to do with IT?
David works as an industry analyst specialising in the human and environmental aspects of IT, with a particular interest in areas such as personal productivity, collaboration, social computing and sustainable computing. He writes frequently for a variety of business and IT titles, mainly online these days. He also oversees Freeform Dynamics’ workshop and training developments. David occasionally coaches teams and individuals in how to deal with the press. David designed and wrote a personal information management tool called BrainStorm in 1981. It still sells today. In previous lives, he was an IT professional for 11 years (programmer to IT manager), a management skills trainer for three years, he relaunched and edited Personal Computer World in its early days. He was a journalist for 28 years and was shortlisted eight times for national writing awards. He won three times. He was technical director of Caxton Software from 1981 to 1984. And he ran a media skills training business for 20 years.
