This session will focus on how often-overlooked computer power management features can save your organization as much as $ 300 in electricity per computer over the typical service life of a PC or Mac. After a brief overview of the energy savings opportunity and a layman's explanation of computer "sleep" features, we will discuss how to overcome common technical and non-technical obstacles to realizing computer energy savings. This session is for both technical and non-technical audiences: the first half will explain the opportunities, and the second half will be devoted to overcoming technical implementation challenges.
