Using ITIL v3 as a Foundation for SOA Governance
There is broadspectrum agreement that a major component for success in building against a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is defining the governance over that SOA. However, there is little agreement on what that governance looks like and how to go about establishing. Meanwhile, ITILv3 has been released and is a monumental step forward from ITILv2 and focused on service lifecycles. Thus, ITILv3 may represent the necessary foundation for SOA governance upon which everyone can agree.
