The Future of Data Center Productivity Management

This panel discussion will cover the C-suite (i.e., CIO, CFO and CEO) perspective on monitoring IT productivity for data center operations. The management team is highly motivated and dedicated to maximizing the data center and its assets, in addition to managing expense, but the metrics for growth can be lost in the shuffle with mis-communications and lack of effective data reporting. Attendees of this presentation will learn: * How to quantify the data center facilities cost (like power, space, and cooling) of a new roll-out and relate that back to the business and productivity. * How data center management solutions (including modeling, mapping, and business criticality analysis) can be used to generate metrics and goals for improving the productivity of data center operations and obtaining a better understanding for the reasons *why* resources are consumed. * How proper energy monitoring and management can impact both operational and capital expenses -- real world case study examples will be used to show how to balance power, cooling, and utilization in order to save money, enhance service levels, and increase data center output.
