The User Experience & Business Benefits of Desktop Virtualization
In this session we will take a brief look at the technology that sits behind a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and the benefits that can be gained. In particular we focus on the user experience and the benefit desktop virtualization brings to the end user. Finally, we will look at some examples of tools that can be used to help build a business case, and customers who have deployed the technology. Simon Schouten is the UK lead for virtual desktop infrastructure business for Sun / Oracle. Simon has extensive experience of VDI technology, the marketplace and the business and technology challenges, having been involved in this area for over 10 years.
