Enabling a More Secure Cloud

Cloud computing presents many potential challenges to IT managers looking to utilize the technology within their organization. One of the concerns frequently raised is how to ensure the security of interactions with cloud services and how to ensure that any data placed within the cloud stays secure. Alan will cover show Intel see the Cloud data centre evolving and some of the technologies in Intel’s next generation of server platforms that can be used to enhance the security of transactions both with and within the cloud and also to help increase the level of trust between cloud based compute infrastructures. Alan is multi-year Intel veteran, he started supporting all the PC design accounts in the UK back in the days when the i286 was the latest and greatest processor on the Intel roadmap, since them. Alan has held various technical and product marketing roles including being responsible for launching the Xeon processor product line in EMEA and managing the Itanium program office. Currently Alan is responsible for Intel’s high-end server business and Cloud Marketing strategy in EMEA
