  • Earlier this year, Moka5 conducted a survey about how enterprises are currently using cloud-based services and how they would prefer to use them. The results are in and the findings are eye opening. Join Moka5 VP of Marketing Kris Bondi for an overview of the adoption and usage trends as well top-of-mind security concerns for IT decision makers.
  • The Internet of Things (IoT) has now become a mainstream term but much of the attention is focused on the latest gadgets rather than its potential in super-charging efficiencies of every industry sector. Whether it's using connected devices to monitor the health of a patient or an elderly relative in their homes, GE"s smart jet engines that transmit terabytes of data on its condition in-flight or ensuring miners' safety and productivity with integrated communications, tracking and real-time analytics; Internet of Things can have a monumental impact on global economy, with the forecast of over $14 trillion in the next two decades, according to latest research by Accenture.

But what does this all mean for IT professionals? Beyond the trade show gadgets, IoT initiatives require immense support from all IT functions. Collecting, storing and alayzing immense amounts of data, which can be easily accessed in the cloud at any time and securely shared across connected devices is no easy feat. Moreso, a standardized set of guiding principles is essential for governance and proper implementation of every supported initiative.

Join this expert panel session, featuring some of the leading industry minds, as they share unique perspectives and vision into into the future of IoT and join the conversation in an interactive Q&A session at the end of the presentation.

    Panelists include:
    - James Hogan, Managing Partner, Vista Ventures
    - Mac Devine, Vice President SDN Cloud Services and CTO, IBM Cloud Services Division
    - Stephen Mellor, CTO, Industrial Internet Consortium
    - Jeff Smith, CTO & EVP, Numerex
    - Darin Andersen, CEO, CyberUnited
  • Cloud is changing the IT landscape in a fundamental way. It is transforming the way companies think about and deploy IT which, of course, includes storage.

Join this session where Elan Freedberg will offer tips and suggestions for companies facing the challenges associated with cloud adoption and migration. Specifically, for IT and storage practitioners he will provide:

    - Practical advice for embarking on the “cloud journey”
    - A framework for thinking about workloads in the cloud
    - Suggested storage solutions to onboard to cloud effectively and efficiently
    - Examples of customers using IBM storage solutions for their cloud
  • Cloud computing is all about improving agility and efficiency for organisations but the focus is often on the speed to provision infrastructure and services. But what about all the ongoing management and maintenance processes that go with it? If you are going to improve the deployment of services using public or private cloud it is important to look at how you improve the efficiency of the processes around it.

Learn how process automation technology can help you automate common tasks and processes to improve the speed of delivery, improve the quality of services and take out cost.
  • The rapid virtualization of the enterprise’s data center and the growing acceptance and consumption of cloud-based services are changing the way enterprises do IT.

While this “cloud revolution” provides clear and substantial business and operational benefits, it brings a fundamental change to compute and storage deployment and use, data flows, network architecture and security.

This webinar will provide a glimpse into the private and hybrid cloud impact on security in terms of requirements, architecture and the solutions available.
  • As more organisations shift operational costs to focus on innovation, traditional day-to-day IT running expenses are becoming squeezed. This presentation looks at how you can reduce your hybrid cloud running costs while at the same time improve the interaction between your production and development teams even if they reside in different clouds.

This session will show you how to:
    · Provision hybrid cloud resources to control costs

    · Simplify data transfer between dev & production

    · Leverage Public cloud for Disaster Recovery

    · Unshackle yourself from hardware or hypervisor lock-in
  • The Public Cloud is very useful when high flexibility is needed in terms of allocation and de-allocation of resources, it allows an easily and fast scalability of horizontal architectures while it could be limited when there is the necessity of complex multi-level architectures.

The Private Cloud is more enterprise oriented; as it allows the creation of complex architectures, providing tools in order to easy manage the network, the storage and specific VM configurations at hardware level. The user will have a Virtual Data Center that implements all the abstractions designed to simulate the behavior of a physical environment.

It is also possible to configure network architectures involving multi-level services firewalling , load balancing , routed or isolated network, VPN profiles and to have different storage in terms of performance based on specific needs (for example, it will be possible have a database on pure SSD space, or long term archive space based on SATA disks).

Join this presentation as Eric Sansonny will explain all of the above, and how to use a VPN IPSec to create a hybrid environment.
  • Do you know what’s in your virtual attic? As organizations have virtualized their data center, the virtual infrastructure is increasingly business-critical, with greater risks to availability, security and protection. And with corporate data distributed across hundreds of virtual machines (VM), every VM is a data black box, subject to unbridled growth, management neglect, as well as security and compliance issues.

Join DataGravity Director of Product Marketing, Tim Sherbak, and Solutions Architect and renowned vExpert, Gabriel Maentz, as they discuss ways to address your growing data bloat, resolve hidden liabilities and extract greater value from your data. During this webinar, you’ll learn holistic strategies to:

•Increase your visibility and understanding of your data sets
•Rein in data growth and storage utilization
    •Enhance data compliance and security
    •Simplify protection and recovery
