This presentation focuses on the testing activities of an Application Lifecycle, that verifies the application is “fit and ready” for production/live. The approach shown is the mapping between the ITIL© V3 Service Lifecycle and the TMMi© (Test Maturity) Reference Model. Importantly, it shows that testing activities start well before application development has even commenced.
The presentation distills the combined knowledge and experience of the two presenters; Peter Saul (Smatra Group) and Clive Bates (Experimentus) who were commissioned recently to provide understanding of how ITIL© V3 and TMMi© complement one another.
Peter is the Principal Consultant with Smatra Group and has a focus of delivering ITIL© V3 & ISO20000 aligned quality improvement assignments. His experience covers the analysis, design and imbedding process enhancements within a range of business sectors including Finance, Telecoms and Media.
Peter is a member of the IT Service Management Forum and has presented at Service Desk Institute conference and itSMF group forums.
Clive is a Managing Consultant with Experimentus and has a focus of managing test and quality process improvement assignments and to develop the TMMi© training offering.
His experience covers the test management in a variety of areas such as banking, insurance, retail supply chain systems and Internet applications.
Clive has presented at the leading testing conferences over a number of years namely StarWest, StarEast and EuroStar as well as specialist testing conferences in the UK, Sweden and Holland. He has also contributed articles in various industry magazines and journals.
Clive is one of the founder members of the board that developed the original ISEB/ISTQB Foundation certificate and ISEB Practitioner certificate and is now fully involved with the UK Testing Board delivering the ISTQB qualifications in the UK
