Digital trends are transforming nearly every industry and retail is amongst the top industries to be impacted.
The retail store front will remain the hub for omni-channel interactions with customers. Business leaders in retail need to prepare for a wide range of technologies such as in-store WiFi, digital signage, tablets, self-checkouts and others in addition to maintaining a 100% transaction uptime.
All of these advanced technologies are highly dependent on the network, particularly the wide area network (WAN) for success. However, legacy WANs were never designed to support omni-channel interactions, which means evolving the WAN to a software defined WAN (SD-WAN) must be a top initiative for business and IT leaders in the retail industry.
Join Zeus Kerravala, Principal Analyst and Founder of ZK Research as he discusses the changes in the retail industry, why legacy networks are challenged and provides practical advice on how to migrate to SD-WAN.
As a retailer SPAR has solved their issues with web store rollout. Vodafone reduced events by over 80%. Boeing evolved most of the users from OM to Operations Bridge in less than 3 months. They have all gained visibility, focus on the right IT issues impacting business, and moreover autonomous operations. They profit from the high degree of automation that the Operations Bridge brings as well as the significant way it helps integrate their tools and data into a single service driven prioritized view.
To launch this SIG, we’ll show you some of their work and the benefits gained. We’ll introduce you to the latest version of Operations Bridge, speak about the containerized version and its roadmap within the new Micro Focus branded software company. All this should inspire many questions for a lively SIG session, one of many more to come.
•Operations Bridge Action – success stories
•What’s new in today’s version 2017.08
•What’s coming up events, sessions, activities and where to get more information

In regulated industries, such as Financial Services, Government and Healthcare, forms and signatures are critical components of enrolment and onboarding interactions. Yet most services still rely on forms and signatures that function poorly on mobile—the very place most consumers spend their time.
Creating and updating high volumes of forms in a timely manner can also be a huge challenge.
Join us to learn how Adobe Experience Manager Forms and Adobe Sign can help transform complex forms-based transactions into streamlined and compliant experiences that accelerate business and deliver better customer service.
In this webinar, learn how to:
•Provide an end-to-end digital form filling and signing experience across any channel

The branch router has existed for 30 years serving the purpose of interconnecting multiple protocols, directing on-premises traffic from site to site and over time integrated services into that router. A lot has changed over the last three decades. Standardization on Internet Protocol (IP) means has eliminated the need to interconnect multiple protocols, 60% of new workloads are now in the cloud versus on premises, and branch office services are being delivered from the cloud or as virtual network functions in the branch.
Enterprise IT has realized this transformation and are migrating from legacy routers to genuine SD-WAN as the way to adapt to these changes in the branch and wide area network. This webinar will focus on how Enterprises are:
* Addressing the shift of workloads into the cloud while maintaining performance, control, visibility and security
* Enabling branch office services to be securely, simply, and reliably supported from the cloud or on-premises
* Eliminating the complexity inherent in a router-based architecture through zero-touch deployment, Outcome-Driven Networking, automation and GUI-based orchestration
Many enterprises are currently on a trajectory for virtualizing their network services. There is a clear evolution path emerging - one that is taking customers from their legacy IP and Ethernet VPNs towards Hybrid VPNs - whereby the Internet is increasingly taking traffic loads and must be business-grade, and then towards SDN/NFV.
The next phase of the customer WAN journey is already underway for many enterprises. SD-WAN services are now available from a large variety of suppliers including telcos, systems integrators, platform developers, hardware vendors, cloud providers and software developers. The SD-WAN term has become a huge buzzword gleefully bandied about by many in technology, but what are the real underlying issues that enterprises must consider? How can enterprises guarantee a consistent customer experience for application and network performance across the distributed WAN locations?
Join Joel Stradling - Global Data’s Research Director for Global Managed and Hosted IT Services, and Peter Juffernholz – Senior Network Executive from Tata Communications in a live webinar. Joel and Peter will examine the SD-WAN transformation customer journey to provide insights about what might be the right fit for your enterprise and to de-bunk marketing myths.
Takeaways from this webcast:
-Key reasons why enterprises are deploying SD-WAN
-Debunking SD-WAN myths with our feet-on-the-ground reality check
-How do you determine which SD-WAN model is right for your enterprise?
-Technical and business considerations while evaluating managed SD-WAN providers

...because you might be using 4.4 of the wrong collaboration tools and have no idea. Fear not, we’re connecting with CDW to dig in to some new stats on shadow IT and the collaboration inefficiencies that come from deploying “way, way, way too many tools.”
We’ll also share some best practices for selecting and on boarding IT-driven business collaboration tech that can help you stop paying for feature overlap and get on with your life.
Agile works well for small, co-located teams that can hover around sticky notes on a Kanban board, and collaborate on-demand. But as initiatives become more complex, and teams become dispersed, Agile can be difficult to scale across the enterprise.
What’s missing in Agile practices today is the ability to see the whole picture. With user stories as the source of record for an application, it’s hard to connect all the dots to see the complete functionality of a feature or capability. Think about the new team who will be developing additional features on that capability - where can they learn everything it does today? How will they know the impact their changes will have on that capability or potentially other capabilities? How will they collaborate on those changes and get them reviewed in a timely manner? How will your business stakeholder understand the impact of new those changes to the overall business process? Storyteller provides a centralized reusable searchable repository of exiting business and technical process models and requirements (business, non-functional and regulatory). In addition we also offer rich visualization, collaboration and review functionalities. These base capabilities are being used today to address the questions above. And - we do it in a way that everyone can understand from Business Stakeholders down to developers and testers.
Storyteller is a key player in Enterprise Agile. We bridge the business gaps in the current agile process. For companies struggling with Agile Transformation, we providing guardrails around writing user stories and feature decomposition. Project teams can save time and effort by using our user story and test plan generation which can them be automatically synched over to ALM tools. We are also a key player in the BizDevOps chain by providing that upfront business alignment so what is produced though “Dev” and delivered and maintained by “Ops” is exactly what “Biz” wanted.

Organizations on the journey to digital transformation are encountering new challenges with managing risk. Not only are complex digital transformation initiatives making it difficult for organizations to fully grasp their entire risk profile but digital transformation is also resulting in new types of risk for the company. Organizations with strong risk aversion are in danger of preventing or stifling innovation and change. How can organizations manage risk and create a strategy that empowers digital transformation? What have organizations learned on the road to digital transformation that can help others early on in the journey?
Designing and managing complex, specific and even specialist work is no longer only the remit of centralized teams of specialist project managers, analysts and process experts. Companies are looking for looser, more matrixed, decentralized and collaborative forms of organization, they are reconsidering processes, people and technology as part of this shift with a focus increasingly on enabling these types of work to be done by business leaders and their teams.
Unfortunately the traditional mix of collaboration, team, task, project and business process management tools are struggling to deliver the balance of cohesive, flexible and extensible work processes business teams need.
They need a way of building automated processes that span across different systems and applications so that their myriad tactical workflows can be elevated into a strategic mesh of operations, giving them new ways to think about organizational culture, business agility, employee engagement, work throughput and customer satisfaction.
In this webinar Chris Marsh, Director of Workforce Productivity and Compliance at 451 Research and Ryan Duguid, SVP of Technology Strategy at Nintex will discuss the trends, pain points and opportunities around content and workflow automation for the modern workforce.
