    • Workloads, Data Centers & Cloud Strategy: Market & Technology Trends
      Workloads, Data Centers & Cloud Strategy: Market & Technology Trends Carl Lehmann, Principal Analyst with 451 Research, and Don Davis, Technology Director for Iron Mountain’s Data Center busines Recorded: Jul 25 2017 3:00 pm UTC 58 mins
    • IT planners have far more options as to where to run their workloads than ever before. On-premises data centers, co-location facilities and managed services providers are now joined by hybrid multi-clouds – a combination of Software-, Infrastructure- and Platform-as-a-Service (SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS) execution venues. All have unique operational, performance and economic characteristics that need to be considered when deploying workloads.

      In this Webinar Carl Lehmann, Principal Analyst with 451 Research, and Don Davis, Technology Director for Iron Mountain’s Data Center business will discuss how industry leading enterprises determine the best execution venues for their workloads by addressing:

      •The market and technology trends that influence workload, data center and cloud strategy
      •How to evaluate the characteristics of various workloads and execution venues
      •How to manage workloads across on-premises and off-premises ecosystems
      Attendees will learn how to formulate an IT strategy that can be used to guide the decision criteria needed for placing workloads on their best execution venues, and enable the migration and ongoing management of workloads across a hybrid multi-cloud enterprise architecture.

    • Shift Left: How testing early and often is best for the business and customer
      Shift Left: How testing early and often is best for the business and customer Nancy Gohring 451 Research and Steve Feloney CA Technologies Recorded: Dec 12 2017 6:00 pm UTC 50 mins
    • Organizations in most any industry are feeling increasing pressure to move fast. But at what cost? Some have learned the hard way that skipping crucial processes, like testing, damages performance and impacts customer sentiments on your brand. In this case, the fast time to market becomes meaningless.

      Smart businesses are adapting to a shift left strategy. These teams are learning how to incorporate testing early and often in the release cycle, supporting business requirements to move fast while ensuring high-performing products and quality. But getting there isn’t easy. In this webinar, we’ll cover:

      •Testing tools: tool choice is important. Not all tools have been designed to support this new paradigm.
      •Integrations: to be effective, testing tools must integrate easily with the tools and processes modern teams use, including CI/CD and APM products. Further, these tools must be very easy to use, specifically for developers.
      •Organizational models: shifting left requires changes to traditional organizations and culture. We’ll share insight into the successful models we’ve seen.

    • CA Technologies: Advanced Monitoring and Management of SD-WAN
      CA Technologies: Advanced Monitoring and Management of SD-WAN Tim Diep, Director of Product Management, CA Technologies & Jeremy Rossbach, Sr. Product Marketing Manager, CA Technologies Recorded: Jan 18 2017 7:00 pm UTC 44 mins
    • How does SD-WAN shift the status quo for the Operations teams? SD-WAN technology possesses sophisticated, in-built capability for operations and management, and advanced automation to address network problems in real-time. However, the Operations teams needs to seamlessly integrate this network and health status intelligence from their new SD-WAN infrastructure into their existing monitoring and management infrastructure.

      Additionally, monitoring solutions must provide visibility across all network architectures including highly dynamic and complex hybrid clouds and other SDN elements.

      This session covers the integration of CA Virtual Network Assurance and CA Performance Management with Viptela SD-WAN. The key topics that will be discussed include:

      - Eliminating visibility gaps between traditional networks and SD-WAN providing administrators with insights to optimize and transform their large hybrid networks
      - Providing relationship mapping of major IT events
      - Visualizing physical and logical dependencies in applications and service chains
      - Extending visibility for operators with network performance monitoring across cloud, SDN and SD-WAN networks (including service chains)
      - Enabling operational insight into how all elements of traditional and overlay networks affect service integrity

      DR101: 5 Things to Consider When Choosing a Replication Technology Harry Smith, Zerto Technology Evangelist Recorded: Apr 6 2017 11:00 am UTC 65 mins
    • When implementing a disaster recovery solution it can be difficult to understand the myriad differences between the replication technologies available. These differences may seem small but can have a big impact on your ability to test, manage and initiate the disaster recovery process.

      In this webinar, we'll take a look at a selection of the different replication technologies available and break down the pros and cons for each to assist you in identifying the right solution for your own business needs.

      Harry Smith, Zerto's Technology Evangelist, will discuss some of the considerations to bear in mind when choosing your disaster recovery solution, such as;

      * Hypervisor-based, Snapshot-based, Storage-based and Guest-based replication technologies
      * Performance impact considerations
      * Why orchestration and automation is important
      * Application consistency and point-in-time recovery
      * Scale-up vs Scale-out architectures

    • Ocado Technology Adopts Lean and Agile Development Practices
      Ocado Technology Adopts Lean and Agile Development Practices James Donkin, GM; Emily Page, Agile Coach; Lawrence Weetman, Software Engineer; Will Peck, Team Leader @ Ocado Technology Recorded: Mar 8 2017 2:30 pm UTC 6 mins
    • Ocado may be most well-known as an online grocer, but its plan is to become a technology company – both in hardware and software, which is probably more than twice as hard as only doing software.

      Combining the two seems obvious for Ocado, since it runs a physical business rather than a virtual one – in that it has several huge warehouse across the country, all handling tens of thousands of individual grocery products and fulfilling hundreds of thousands of orders every month.

      Managing such a complex business requires software as well as hardware, much of which Ocado bought in from outside companies when it first started in 2000.

      Over time, Ocado found that it needed software and hardware that were not available on the market, so decided to develop the technology itself, which is what has led to this point where the company has a significant in-house tech team.

      So significant in fact that the company has launched Ocado Technology and Ocado Engineering as two separate business units, in addition to its core grocery business, which is still called Ocado.
