About this talk

Recently, there have been calls for organizations to shift towards cyber resilience as it is considered an enhancement in protecting against cyber incidents. However, it is unclear if widespread adoption is occurring. For cyber resilience adoption to progress, we need to know what organizations are currently doing, which factors promote the adoption and how cyber resilience affects cyber outcomes. To enable this understanding, researchers at University of Queensland in collaboration with CSA APAC conducted a survey investigating the current state of cyber resilience. We developed a taxonomy of cyber resilience and operationalised it with measurable indicators. We then investigated what organizations are doing for cyber resilience and the relationship with post-incident outcomes. Broadly, our findings from the international sample of 110 organizations showed that cyber resilience implementation depends on several factors. The presentation will discuss our findings further and highlight potential implications for how organizations implement cyber resilience.
