About this talk

Karen McCullough’s presentation will look at the many sources of variability in the Bacterial Endotoxins Test. While a certain level of variability is expected from the biological reagent prepared from the lysed amebocytes of the horseshoe crab, additional variability in the testing laboratory can significantly affect the performance of the test. This discussion focuses on the laboratory, and highlights some of the controls that should be considered to assure consistency and accuracy of reported test results.
