The Modern DDoS Attack: Learn How Companies are Responding

Presented by

Dave Shackleford, IANS Lead Faculty and JP Blaho, Senior Product Marketing Manager Arbor Networks

About this talk

In today’s online enterprise, a single second in website response time can affect revenue conversion and customer satisfaction. Often, distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks are the main culprit. The modern DDoS attack has become quite complex, combining stealthy application-layer attacks with high volume flood attacks, often at the same time. Unprepared organizations can pay a heavy price. Given the increase in the size, frequency and complexity of DDoS attacks today, how are organizations preparing for them? What kinds of detection and response processes and technologies are organizations using? Do they have incident response plan, and more importantly, have they practiced and operationalized them? In this webinar, we will review a recent IANS survey that reveals the state of DDoS readiness across the enterprise market. Learn how your company measures up to your peers. This webinar will also cover: - Tools, tactics and what is changing for organizations seeking to better handle DDoS attacks against their network and services - What to include in a checklist for a DDoS incident response plan - Discussion of risk versus cost benefit of DDoS protection
