About this talk

Cyber security is a high priority for many organizations, but they often find it difficult to make a business case for infrastructure investment in areas such as data protection and management. A different way to approach this is to think not just of risk management and technology, but to structure the investment case around business advantage as well. Namely, to switch the conversation from infrastructure to what’s good for the business and all its stakeholders. Topics considered will include: Is information an enterprise asset or is it confined to groups and departments? What the business benefits could be if it were made securely available to more users? It’s vital to move at the pace of the business and IT, not that of a vendor. The importance of broadening file access in terms of business advantage, rather than IT.
