Why Object Storage for the Internet of Things

The definition of IoT in Wikipedia starts with "The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects—devices, vehicles, buildings and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity—that enables these objects to collect and exchange data.” But the data is collected because it contains a lot of value.

The two main challenges are how you store these huge datasets generated by IoT and how you simplify the process of extracting some value from them.
