SUSE has announced a beta version of SUSE Enterprise Storage 7 (SES 7), the latest software-defined storage solution built on the Octopus release of the open source Ceph technology. The current SES 7 release is a public beta and is open for general testing prior to commercial release of the product. The versatile, flexible and robust software-defined storage solution runs on widely available industry standard hardware delivering flexibility, scalability enhanced data protection capabilities and significant cost savings.
