After four-and-a-half years of negotiations the dust has now settled on Brexit and its impact on design and trademark protection in the UK and EU—or has it? This presentation Brexit, trademarks and designs: the end of the beginning? Or just the beginning of the end? on December 16 at 3pm GMT/ 10am ET will provide an overview of what has been agreed on the protection of designs and trademarks in the UK and EU after the UK’s departure from the EU. The presentation will also deal with the likely ongoing impact of Brexit on UK and EU trademark practice after the end of the transition period on December 31, 2020, providing practical advice on the protection of designs and trademarks and some thoughts on where the UK and EU are likely to diverge in the future in this important area of IP law.
