Real-World NFV Use Cases for Scalable Application Delivery Control & Security

Presented by

Louis Scialabba, Director of Carrier Solutions Marketing, Radware

About this talk

Louis Scialabba will give an in-depth presentation on the current state of NFV in the Carrier industry and progress Service providers have made moving NFV from the proof of concept in the lab to the field environment. The "low-hanging fruit" of NFV implementation is gaining clarity - namely intelligent service delivery with ADCs and network-level security with advanced, multi-layer detection and mitigation systems. Radware Virtual ADCs integrated with Intel technology are a logical operationalization area for Carriers given its confinement to a specific functional domain, its simple span of control, and the deterministic benefits of high ROI and increased network performance. Likewise, security is an obvious choice for both NFV and SDN working together, considering the automation benefits of a real-time, network-level security implementation compared with the box-level, non-real time approach of legacy solutions. This session will highlight early use cases for value-added service delivery and support, particularly for Cloud providers seeking data center technology migration.
