Recent contributions to the Open vSwitch open source project have enabled Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) software accelerations in the datapath. The Open vSwitch 2.4.0 release provides users with a performant software dataplane for Network Functions Virtualization (NFV). In this presentation, Mark will present three key enhancements made to the datapath in the Open vSwitch 2.4 timeframe which have enabled its use in NFV deployments. * Performance Enhancements * vhost-user support * DPDK 2.0 integration
