Recent contributions to the Open vSwitch open source project have enabled further DPDK software accelerations in the datapath. The Open vSwitch 2.6.0 release provides users with a performant software dataplane for Network Functions Virtualization (NFV). Many important enhancements were made to the DPDK-enabled datapath in the Open vSwitch 2.6.0 release. In this presentation, Ian and Ciara will describe several of these enhancements, including: • Ingress & Egress Qos • Jumbo frames support • DPDK 16.07 Support • vHost NUMA Awareness • vHost User Client-Mode & Reconnect
