About this talk

Edge computing is calling for the convergence of applications & Network functions, running on the same K8s cluster. Containerized Network functions (CNFs) in Edges have few unique requirements such as high data plane performance (high throughput, low latency, deterministic performance), high availability of connectivity, support for multiple virtual & provider networks and service function chaining. This webinar will introduce CNF requirements and how K8s eco-system is addressing these challenges. It discusses various open source initiatives addressing the networking requirements. Finally, it describes how K8s platforms & automation solutions are evolving to support Telco/Edge deployments.
