Broadband service is essential. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA recently redefined broadband service as 100Mbps downstream and 20Mbps upstream to ensure that all Americans have access to adequate connectivity. Government subsidies available in the US (BEAD) and around the globe are attracting new fiber overbuilders, as well as enticing existing broadband providers, to upgrade networks to meet the new definitions. Many network operators agree that fiber-to-the-premise is the end goal for their access network evolution. Some operators will maximize the utility of their existing DOCSIS networks for many years to come.

While others in highly competitive markets will offer PON fiber services sooner. In the next several years, cable MSOs have robust options for delivering multi-gigabit broadband service using virtualized platforms to deliver both DOCSIS and Fiber concurrently in their networks. Delivering PON Fiber and DOCSIS on a Converged Broadband Platform

Stürmsfs is a leading steel and metal processing company. They excel in webshop and frontend digital processes, however there is room for enhancement of their production related digital processes. Network Monetization Enabled by Intel Powered Application-driven Automation

Disaggregated and virtualized Radio Access Network (RAN) enables 5G market competition and customer choice with lower equipment costs, and improved network performance. Open RAN deployments can be implemented in vendor-neutral hardware and software-defined technology, based on open interfaces and community-developed standards. Cybersecure Private 5G In-A-Box for Edge Deployments

Most key exchange methods used to secure data in networks today use mechanisms that are broken by quantum computers. Even before quantum computers become available, it’s possible for attackers to store data today and decrypt it later. Information that needs to be kept secret for a long time (state secrets, personal health and genomics data, trade secrets, financial data, etc.) is already at risk since it can be easily siphoned from public networks and stored encrypted in a data silo until it can be decrypted.

Arqit’s Symmetric Key Agreement™ Platform (SKA) is a cloud-hosted or on-prem service that can secure networks with encryption that is unbreakable by a quantum computer. This allows endpoints to upgrade the security of communication channels they create, like an IPsec tunnel. 

Arqit and Intel have joined forces to produce a number of out-the-box post-quantum cryptography (PQC) solutions.
