About this talk

* Click on the video to see attachments pertaining to this webinar | 5G and edge computing has the potential to generate new opportunities for industries by leveraging faster connectivity, lower latency and proximity computing. Private networks, primarily for Industry 4.0 application, will leverage 5G and edge for connectivity, AI and computer vision. These use cases need a 'connectivity-as-a-service' platform that provides 5G connectivity, hardware accelerated compute platform, simplified management interfaces, cloud native application development and frictionless developer experience. Altran's (part of Capgemini) 5G connected platform addresses these challenges by bringing together the architecture and software (e.g., 5G RAN, 5G Core and ENSCONCE edge compute platform). In this podcast, we will deep dive specifically into a smart city and automotive use case like the intelligent roadside unit and unravel the need for such platforms. We will also discuss Altran's collaboration with Intel and how we leveraged OpenVINO and parts of OpenNESS to engineer a derivative of the solution with higher performance and quality of service. Altran's 5G connected platform addresses these challenges by bringing together the architecture and software (e.g., 5G RAN, 5G Core and ENSCONCE edge compute platform).
