About this talk

Timing synchronization and accuracy are critical elements for 5G vRAN deployments. Without them, customers can experience significant service disruptions, such as dropped calls and poor streaming-video quality, making it difficult for Communications Service Providers (CoSPs) to maintain revenue streams. Legacy proprietary RAN systems typically rely on dedicated timing hardware, but the transition to disaggregated 5G vRAN solutions provides CoSPs with compelling new options. In this session we will discuss • The importance of high-accuracy timing synchronization • New Intel® Ethernet 800 Series network adapters that bring hardware-enhanced timing capabilities to disaggregated 5G vRAN solutions • How Intel is working with the vRAN ecosystem to accelerate and simplify deployments Presenters: - Sean Lion, Business Development Manager, Intel - Shachi Paithankar, Product Marketing Engineer, Intel
