Cloud Service Agreements (CSAs) are the series of documents that govern the relationship and obligations between a cloud customer and a cloud service provider. They contain many clauses whose impact customers may not fully understand, and they are mostly written by the providers to limit their legal and financial exposure. Knowing what to look for, what to expect, and what can be negotiated to improve the terms and conditions when the customer can leverage the competition, is very important to avoid surprises. The Object Management’s Group’s Cloud Working Group (previously known as the Cloud Standards Customer Council) recently published version 3 of “Cloud Service Agreements: What to Expect and What to Negotiate.” Our webinar will present an overview of our recommendation, with special emphasis on the changes in both technologies and business practices that motivated this update.
