About this talk

Cybersecurity attacks and data breaches have led to the emergence of a growing Cyber Insurance (CI) market. The rapid expansion of cloud computing has created an additional challenge for its users: how to compensate for the business losses suffered in case of a cloud provider outage. As they review cloud service agreements (CSA), users find that the financial remedies for such disruption are insufficient. Can CI fill that gap? To find more about the needs and solutions, OMG issued a Request for Information (RFI), with a deadline of May 25, 2020. In this webinar, the authors of the RFI and the co-chairs of OMG’s Cloud Working Group will explain the reasons why CI may play an important role for cloud providers and customers alike; give a “guided tour” of the RFI itself; and tell attendees how their participation will help define the future of CI.
