FAIR Data Centric Information Architecture

Presented by

Ben Gardner, AstraZeneca

About this talk

Enabling FAIR Data (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Re-usable) is critical for AstraZeneca to unlock value from our existing data and to ease the handling of future data. We address 'Findability' through effective indexing and cataloguing, 'Accessibility' via a blend of automated and manual processes and enhance 'Reusability' by integrating processes into approved analytical environments. Yet the most significant challenge is 'Interoperability', which requires us to determine if datasets of the same type can be merged and how to link different types to answer complex questions. This talk will show how AstraZeneca's Research & Development tackle these challenges to optimise data re-use.
