About this talk

This session offers an insightful exploration of the ontological foundations of data governance. The speaker will provide an overview of the nature of 'things' and their properties, the alignment of the lawful states of an information system or product to the lawful states of the physical world, and the importance and increased relevance of these concepts in Data Governance, in this new era of cloud data platforms and advanced analytics. Attendees will walk away with a further understanding of ontology and semantics in data governance, as well as actionable strategies for their application in metadata management, master and reference data management, and data quality management.
