About this talk

The Domain Name System (DNS) was built in the early 1980s to solve the issues posed by the early Internet, specifically dynamic name to address translation at scale. Without DNS, the Internet as we know it today wouldn’t exist. However, the initial implementation of DNS did not address security threats, allowing malicious hackers to alter the way it works or abuse DNS server vulnerabilities. In this webcast, Paul Asadoorian and Adrian Sanabria will discuss the challenges of securing DNS. As we see more DNS-based attacks, organizations need to better harden their DNS services. Paul and Adrian will discuss various DNS security protections, including: • Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) • DNS Filtering • DNS Activity Monitoring • Protective DNS Service
