You Put Your Data Where? Protecting Your Data in the Hybrid Cloud.

You put your data where? Protecting your data in the hybrid cloud.

We’ve heard it before: “I can’t use the cloud because my data won’t be secure or compliant!” You might feel the same. Many companies struggle with this challenge, yet even government agencies with the strictest data privacy requirements use the cloud.

In today’s rapidly changing world, how can you tell which clouds and cloud types are right for your organization’s needs, now and in the future? Wouldn’t it be great to use a public cloud for more workloads, even those with sensitive data and compliance requirements?

In our webcast, "You Put Your Data Where? Protecting Your Data in the Hybrid Cloud," we will share how public organizations with strict data privacy regulations leverage and deploy hybrid cloud to meet their business needs. NetApp’s partner 1901 Group will speak about a government law enforcement agency that has deployed hybrid cloud to gain better access to compute capabilities while keeping legal data under lock and key. Additionally, BriteSky, a Canada-based service provider, will discuss how they help customers use cloud resources and still maintain sovereignty over their corporate data.

Whether you’re a public or private company, government agency, U.S.-based or multinational organization, this informative webcast will help you put your data where it's accessible to cloud infrastructures yet fully protected. Join us to learn how NetApp and our partners help people like you meet data compliance and data sovereignty requirements and deploy cloud architectures to suit your business needs.

Russ Fellows, Sr Partner/Analyst Evaluator Group, Chris O'Brien, Director UCS Solutions Cisco, Sharon Azulai, Dir. MAX Data
There are few issues of greater importance than the ability of an IT shop to run enterprise applications at the speed businesses need, while still ensuring enterprise levels of data availability and protection exist for the application. NetApp’s MAX Data running on FlexPod delivers the ability to utilize persistent memory technology for Tier-1 enterprise applications without any changes to the application. By combining data resiliency and protection features with storage media that can deliver an order of magnitude of performance improvement is of interest to any business. As explained in this webinar by NetApp and the Evaluator Group, you will find that MAX Data running on FlexPod was able to accelerate critical application workloads through the intelligent use of Intel Optane persistent memory, while providing enterprise storage features and the potential for TCO benefits.

  • Enterprise Applications on NetApp AFF SAN Recorded: Feb 4 2020 33 mins
    Jeff Steiner
The foundation of any enterprise application is a storage platform that delivers maximum availability with maximum performance. Features such as convenient backups or online cloning are helpful, but aren't usable unless the foundation itself is enterprise-class.

This session will review the core features of a NetApp AFF SAN from a reliability and performance perspective, looking at a complete enterprise application environment. Most important, this means nonstop data availability, including recovery from catastrophic controller failures, code upgrades, and complete hardware refreshes. AFF systems deliver six 9s of availability. You can do online migration, and even complete hardware array upgrades, non-disruptively. We'll also cover disaster recovery scenarios, where datasets must be replicated to a remote location (including the cloud), as well as performance and recovery scenarios. Finally, we'll discuss the benefits of NVMe/FC, your next-generation SAN, now available on NetApp ONTAP.
  • NetApp Solutions for Oracle Databases Recorded: Jan 30 2020 41 mins
    Jeff Steiner
Database storage architecture used to be simple. You needed space for a certain number of bytes, and enough IOPS to meet performance needs. If that's all you think about, you're missing the best of NetApp. It's unquestionably enterprise-class storage, but you need to look beyond the LUNs.

Here is just a small set of the cool things you’ll learn about: Eliminating slow RMAN backups in favor of integrated Oracle backups with no requirement for external software. Cloud tiering, allowing you to use the power of local SSD, including NVMe storage, with the efficiency of cloud object storage, but with central management. Delivering an RPO of zero and a near-zero RTO for databases even at petabyte scales. Filesystem management offloading, to improve performance as well as reduce Oracle license costs. Finally, how to integrate storage management into the larger infrastructure with the new RESTful API's.
  • Migrating the Unmigratable to Azure: Easily Move Complex File Workloads Recorded: Jan 23 2020 52 mins
Geert van Teylingen, Microsoft & Kirk Ryan, NetApp
The 65% of enterprise workloads that continue to be on-premises are looking to adopt cloud methodologies but don’t want to sacrifice performance, reliability, and enterprise data management capabilities.
