Getting Started with Web App Localization

This talk is aimed at startups or companies that are seeking to expand internationally for the first time. In this talk, Dr. Roturier will use two Web application examples to review multiple internationalization and localization tasks in the light of recent advances in the field. • Presentation of the conceptual framework introduced in “Localizing Apps” • Focus on the ACCEPT Portal, an open-source demonstration and experimentation Web application that was created during the FP7 ACCEPT project and partly localized using the Transifex platform • Review a small mobile-ready Web application to illustrate a different set of localization challenges
