To obtain maximum returns from gold leaching, it is necessary to ensure tight control of a range of factors, including grind size, reagent addition, carbon management, and leaching conditions. The feed mineralogy to the CIL/CIP circuit can change with time, so plant design should be flexible to accommodate the changing mineralogy. We will discuss various technologies and process design options for variable ore feeds to maximise gold recovery, plus benefits such as reduced power and reagents.
