How to distribute death benefits in practice for members

Trustees of a SSAS have a lot to think about when settling death benefits, including finding and notifying relevant parties, valuing assets and calculating the late member’s share of the Scheme, deciding who should benefit, agreeing the type of benefits that will be paid and how the benefits will be funded. Lisa will consider how this works in practice, and what's needed to enable benefits to be paid correctly.
