#PRCN2019: Analyzing research productivity of postgraduate students using Pure

About this talk
The university has 9 colleges, namely medicine, engineering, science, law, humanities, food and agriculture, education, business and economics, and information technology. Different post-graduate programs are available in these colleges including master programs and Ph.D. programs. Students from different nationalities are pursuing their degree from UAE University. The postgraduate students have been financially supported in different ways like research assistantship, teaching assistantship, administrative assistantship, scholarship and fellowship packages, and health insurances.
A detailed study about postgraduate students’ research productivity in terms of journal, conference and poster publication and international awards are carried out. The analysis is further extended to compare the productivity between different colleges and their financial support. An analytical study is conducted on whether research assistantship improves research productivity.
The university also has several dedicated research centers and collaborations with different industries. Students can do their research in collaboration with these research centers, so the impact of research centers on students research and academic performance was also analyzed.
