#SciValFest2020 - Meet ICSR: Data analytics and responsible (biblio)metrics

Presented by

Andrew Plume, Snr Director Research Evaluation & Kristy James, Data Scientist, Elsevier

About this talk

The International Center for the Study of Research is a group supported by Elsevier with the mission to further the study of research and contribute to the research evaluation evidence base. In March 2020, ICSR launched ICSR Lab, an online platform that facilitates access to the raw datasets underlying Scopus, SciVal and PlumX metrics when these are required to answer a scholarly scientometric research question. This technical platform allows researchers to use coding (e.g. Pyspark) to manipulate these big datasets into new formats to explore innovative questions. This talk will describe the platform and how to request access for time-bound non-commercial research projects.
