New government targets for primary school student attainment have revived the conversation on how we can use pedagogical strategies and teaching methods to improve outcomes for learners.
A pedagogical approach is at the core of the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years Programme (PYP), a student-centric approach to education for children aged four to 11. The inquiry-based, transdisciplinary framework builds conceptual learning and delivers excellent outcomes by providing an education that is engaging, relevant, challenging, and significant.
