Health awareness and the importance of preventive health are viewed as top priority to consumers. Consumers have become more aware of what they eat. They seek fresh products, which are natural, organic and minimally processed. Based on Ingredion’s global clean label consumer insight study, 83% of consumers in Asia-Pacific will usually or always read the ingredient list and 89% of the consumers find it important to recognise the ingredients that have been added to the foods and beverages they buy.
Increasing consumer suspicion about artificial ingredients has triggered processed meat manufacturers to reformulate and to reduce or remove the use of certain ingredients such as MSG, nitrites and phosphates.
Join Finna Natacia (Manager for Low Moisture Innovation projects) and Winnie Koh (Regional Growth Platform Leader for Clean & Simple Ingredients) at Ingredion Asia-Pacific, on 27th November 2020 at 10am SGT where they will present consumer insights into demand for clean label processed meat, ingredients that are acceptable in consumers’ point of view as well as Ingredion’s clean label solutions for phosphate alternatives.
