About this talk

Who knew that the best coffee break conversations would end up happening online? Each month, Pure’s Coffee Break series invites experts in technology and business to chat about the themes driving today’s IT agenda - much more ‘podcast’ than ‘webinar’. This is no webinar or training session—it’s a freewheeling conversation that’s as fun as it is informative and the perfect way to break up your day. While we’ll wander into Pure technology, our goal is to educate and entertain rather than sell. For this month, host Andrew Miller has invited Dr. Ratinder Ahuja, CTO of Security & Networking at Pure Storage, to the Coffee Break. This session is intentionally complementary to the previous month’s session with Hector focused on ransomware + resiliency architectures by focusing inward on how Pure builds secure products via DevSecOps and embracing industry frameworks. We’ll go deep and cover topics such as: -Ratinder’s history in the security space - multiple startups, 70+ patents, even a 6th degree TaeKwonDo black belt. -DevSecOps - digging past the buzzword into the reality. There’s a lot here to understand. -NIST Security Frameworks - understanding how they apply to software development. -How Pure Implements DevSecOps in a way that uniquely fits our vision and product portfolio. As always, we’ll keep it educational while exploring how Pure is offering capabilities and products that benefit you.
