The NIS Directive: Achieving Compliance with Cyber AI

In recent years, attacks on critical infrastructure have plunged entire cities into darkness and caused thousands of machines in nuclear power plants to physically degrade. These essential services are crucial to our daily lives and their increasing vulnerability to cyber-attack risks power failures, environmental hazards and public safety.

In response to the growing threats to critical infrastructure, the EU Parliament enacted the NIS Directive in August 2016, with the goal of bolstering cyber security across key sectors.

Join Andrew Tsonchev, Director of Technology, Darktrace Industrial, live at 5pm, Wednesday 27th February, as he discusses the implications of the NIS Directive on Operators of Essential Services and the security community.

In this webinar, we discuss:
•The challenge of compliance
•Darktrace AI and the Principles of the Cyber Assessment Framework
•Darktrace Industrial Customers using Cyber AI for NIS compliance

  • AI Autonomous Response: The Machine Fights Back Recorded: Jul 30 2019 30 mins
Max Heinemeyer, Darktrace Director of Threat Hunting
How do we defend against cyber-attacks that can strike at any time? Today’s most advanced threats spread throughout an organization in seconds, before humans can possibly react, let alone take preventative action. When ransomware hits at 2am, how can a security team sleeping in bed defend your enterprise?

AI is critical for defense in this cyber-threat climate. Attacks are getting faster and more advanced, while the digital business continues to grow in size and complexity. Human security teams simply cannot keep up.

The most cyber-mature organizations are relying on AI Autonomous Response. Drawing on real-world stories, this webinar will examine how cyber AI enables enterprises to neutralize the most sophisticated threats in a matter of seconds, putting the advantage firmly back in the hands of the defenders.

    Learn How AI Autonomous Response:
    - Tackles fast-moving attacks like ransomware and insider threats like covert data exfiltration
    - Generates a highly precise response to contain and combat threats in real time – without disrupting normal business operations
    - Utilizes a confidence-building model, allowing you to gain trust in AI decision-making
  • Banking on AI: How AI Defends Credit Unions Against Cyber-Attack Recorded: May 9 2019 26 mins
Justin Fier, Director of Cyber Intelligence and Analysis, Darktrace, & Chris Sprague, Security Engineer, TruWest Credit Union
With trillions of dollars and invaluable personal information housed online, it is little wonder that the financial services industry represents the holy grail for today’s cyber-criminals, having suffered more security incidents than any other economic sector in each of the last two years. And as institutions whose reputations hinge on protecting their members’ savings and privacy, credit unions in particular can ill-afford to employ the same cyber defenses that criminals have consistently bypassed.

Cyber AI is a fundamentally different approach to safeguarding the world’s financial assets. Whereas traditional security tools detect only known attacks using fixed rules and signatures, cyber AI systems continuously learn the unique ‘pattern of life’ for each user, device, and network they defend, enabling them to autonomously neutralize never-before-seen threats that cause subtly anomalous behavior. Artificial intelligence has empowered credit unions to finally fight back against their online adversaries.

In this webinar, you will learn:

Where criminals and malicious insiders are exploiting legacy security tools
What the migration of critical assets to the cloud means for cyber defense
Why autonomous response is imperative in an era of automated threats
How Darktrace cyber AI protects its credit union clients like TruWest
