About this talk

Modern cloud applications are increasingly complex and the traditional ways of monitoring are not up to the task. This leaves gaps in visibility, which leads to longer MTTR and lower SLA scores. The State of Tanzu Observability 2021 report, commissioned by VMware, found that more than 80% of IT professionals agree that traditional monitoring tools aren’t adequate for monitoring modern cloud applications. Observability is a new way to get insights into the performance of modern cloud environments. It’s the ability to collect a vast amount of telemetry data from a diverse set of data sources—cloud applications and services, infrastructures, Kubernetes, etc. - in a single place and ask intelligent questions in real time. In this webinar, we will introduce the latest enhancements to VMware Tanzu Observability by Wavefront, and show how it helps DevOps, including developers and SREs, and platform teams troubleshoot faster. Also, Chris Todd, an SRE architect on the vRealize team, will share how his cloud engineering team uses Tanzu Observability to: - Delivers critical cloud services with strict SLAs - Get visibility into Kubernetes components and CI/CD pipelines - Improve the end user experience
