Data protection features, such as backup/restore, cluster migration, and disaster recovery are also important. Traditional backup and recovery solutions are not prepared to efficiently protect Kubernetes workloads. Velero, an open-source tool, helps platform teams to safely backup and restore Kubernetes cluster resources. In this webinar, we will explore the best approaches for protecting your application state including backing up persistent volumes (PVs) using Container Storage Interface Snapshots a.k.a. CSI Snapshots. We will demonstrate how you can restore a cluster to a known good state, recover from a crashed cluster, and restore it to a new environment.
