Building and Running Enterprise-Grade Spring Applications on Microsoft Azure

Since our last update, the Spring Cloud Gateway commercial team has grown is size, and been busy delivering new capabilities for customers!

Spring Cloud Gateway has a new integration. Azure Spring Cloud enterprise tier comes with Spring Cloud Gateway for Kubernetes along with API portal for VMware Tanzu with a clean, API first experience for developers. This enables customers to manage their API Gateway deployments in the multi-cloud, multi-region, and multi-cluster topologies. 
Last but not least, there are a bunch of new commercial filters for our customers to use out of the box.

The Spring Authorization Server project provides support for OAuth 2.1 Authorization Framework, OpenID Connect Core 1.0 and the numerous extension specifications.

The primary goal of this talk is to demonstrate how to securely configure a Spring Authorization Server deployment using identified trust boundaries. The IETF draft, OAuth 2.0 Security Best Current Practice, will be referenced and recommendations will be provided for preventing attacks and implementing mitigations using defense in depth strategies.

How to Build Reliable Streaming Pipelines with RabbitMQ and Project Reactor

Folks are eager to adopt microservices in order to scale and iterate code faster. Microservices architectures offer a means to safely decouple parts of an application into smaller, more independent units. But adopting a microservices architecture means increasing the number of services communicating via API calls. This introduces the need for API gateways.

API gateways aren’t new, but as cloud-native infrastructure evolves, the requirements for API gateways have changed, too. Today, developers are looking for a gateway that runs close to their application to minimize latency, supports reversions to earlier versions, and operates like any other Spring Boot application.
