    About the Speaker:
    Julia Hermann brings more than 15 years of experience in systems engineering, IT security and information security management. She started off her career at a large German Telco provider in the field of IT security consulting, developing and implementing security solutions for large international customers. Afterwards, she spent the longest time of her career at an agency of the European Union as Information Security and Risk Officer, establishing IT security from the moment of its foundation.

    Currently, as Information Security Analyst within the corporate security department of an international company in Munich, her main tasks involve assessment of requirements and technical conception of security solutions as well as threat intelligence, security incident management and audits.

    Being a certified CISSP and CISM, she contributed to the foundation of the (ISC)2 Chapter Germany. Previously as a member and since May 2017 as lead of the ISACA Germany Chapter working group on information security, she co-authored the Implementation Guideline ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and participated to the development of the 2-day certification course “Information Security Practitioner.”

    Mary N. Chaney, Esq., CISSP, has 20+ years of experience within the fields of Law, Information Security, Privacy and Risk Management. She graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio with her B.S.B.A in Information Systems and received her J.D. degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. She spent several years practicing law in Washington, DC focusing primarily on anti-trust and intellectual property rights infringement cases. She then transitioned to serve by becoming a Special Agent for the FBI where she investigated cybercrime as their Information Systems Security Officer.

    In 2016, there were 329 breaches involving 500+ records, amassing a total of 16,471,765 records breached. The reported main cause of the known healthcare data breaches in 2016 was unauthorized access/disclosure. Most could have been avoided by the effective use of data encryption technology, as part of a comprehensive information security and privacy management program.

    Additionally, ransomware accounted for 72% of healthcare malware attacks in 2016; these attacks usually resulted in EHR downtime. Ransomware attacks rose 250% in 2017. Ransomware recovery costs can exceed $10M per covered entity, with daily downtime costs running over $8,500 per hour of downtime. Organizations must understand both the regulatory hurdles and backup/recovery strategies when encountering breaches.

    In this webinar, Rebecca Herold, a highly recognized privacy and security expert, will describe:

    Jennifer Henley is the Director of Security Operations at Facebook. In her current role, Henley is responsible for operational excellence, organizational management, and program management for the Facebook Security team. A jack of all trades, she also runs internal and external security awareness and outreach efforts, most notably, Facebook’s popular “Hacktober” events for National Cyber Security Awareness Month. She is also deeply passionate about attracting and retaining a diverse set of talent to the security industry. Prior to her employment at Facebook, she was Chief of Staff for the CISO at PayPal.
