About this talk

Join our panel of experts for a first look at some of the key findings of the 2019 report: •Cybercrime can come in any shape or size, and not always in the form you’d expect. •Financial gain is still the most common motive behind data breaches- where a motive is known or applicable. •One quarter of all breaches were associated with espionage. •Executives were 12x more likely to be targeted and 9x more likely to be compromised. •The overwhelming majority of incidents fell into one of nine attack patterns — knowing these can help you mitigate the risks of a breach. •Compromise of cloud-based e-mail accounts using stolen credentials rose to cover 60% of attacks involving hacking a web application. Our panel: •Allan Liska, Senior Security Architect at Recorded Future •Rick Holland, CISO, Vice President Strategy at Digital Shadows •Michael Coden, CISSP, Managing Director, BCG Platinion North America, Head of Cybersecurity Practice •Chris Camacho, Former SVP – Global Information Security Operations at Bank of America, CEO at NinjaJobs, Chief Strategy Officer at Flashpoint Our moderator: •Alex Pinto, Head of Verizon Security Research (DBIR) at Verizon Enterprise Services: Alex Pinto is a Distinguished Engineer of the Security Solutions Group at Verizon Enterprise Services, currently managing the Verizon Security Research team, which is responsible for the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR).
