    Red Hat IT, like most Red Hat customers, is on an open hybrid journey to migrate workloads from traditional platforms to a run-anywhere, container-based model. However, as part of this project, we are rethinking what it means to be a datacenter and how applications function across multiple physical sites.

    In support of this vision, our datacenters are being rebuilt from the ground-up to run on Red Hat OpenStack Platform. OpenStack Platform clusters operate at each datacenter with applications front-ended by global traffic management solutions. These clusters, using Red Hat Ceph Storage and Red Hat Gluster Storage, provide a reliable foundation upon which to layer Red Hat OpenShift and a complete application stack. Two Red Hat-operated and -built datacenters are combined with a third leg, hosted within AWS, to achieve this active-active(-active) model.
