Hi [[ session.user.profile.firstName ]]

Modernizing virtualization with Kubernetes

Virtualization has been the de facto standard for most applications for over a decade at this point. There have been many incremental improvements to the management methodologies and functionality for the infrastructure and applications, but there has not been a significant change to how VMs are managed and consumed since their widespread adoption in the datacenter.

Red Hat® OpenShift® virtualization modernizes virtualization infrastructure, application management, and application consumption by bringing it natively into the Kubernetes paradigm. In this session we will explore virtualization as a native component of Kubernetes and learn how to deploy and consume virtualized applications with the same simplicity as containerized applications.

  • Delivering the edge of the network in industrial environments Live 99 mins
Chris Wright, Red Hat CTO & others
Data, analytics, and artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) support modern innovations that organizations need in today’s fast-moving marketplace by providing insights that uncover opportunities to deliver new services or optimize costs. Whether companies are looking for low-latency or intermittent connectivity across footprints, edge computing can improve infrastructure resilience and application availability.

Edge Computing is a powerful new asset in optimizing organizational workloads for digital transformation. Industrial environments have unique demands for application latency, security of trade secrets and data sovereignty, many of which struggle to remain cost-effective or performant when in the cloud. Edge computing combines the benefits of the cloud in orchestration and flexibility with local connectivity and data analytics to empower field and factory personnel with the right data in the right place at the right time. How can you best leverage the growing ecosystem of technology vendors and open-source to deploy edge computing in your own organization?

Join S&P Global Market Intelligence/451 Research Director of the Internet of Things, Christian Renaud, for a virtual roundtable of industry experts to discuss how large companies are already benefitting from harnessing the power of the edge to improve quality, reduce unscheduled downtime, and reduce operational costs in industrial organizations.

Red Hat’s CTO Chris Wright will kick-off this virtual event, along with other prominent members of the community participating as well.
Learn how Red Hat can help change the economics of IT.
Bridging conventional and agile IT, Red Hat brings a portfolio of open, flexible, heterogeneous solutions that already power the world’s most successful, innovative companies.
