About this talk

The gold value chain stretches from miners to refiners to end consumers: investors, jewellery customers and industry to name a few. When thinking about Environmental, Social and Governance there is a wide scope for consideration. In this webinar we will be joined by The World Gold Council (WGC), who will take us through their Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs) which is a framework that sets out clear expectations for consumers, investors and the downstream gold supply chain as to what constitutes responsible gold mining. In this webinar we will explore: + What role do upstream companies have in meeting the ESG aspirations of consumers? + What influence will the WGC have in shaping the future of gold traded in the institutional markets, particularly as they are increasingly shaped by ESG and climate change considerations? + How artisanal miners – an important but challenging part of the global value chain, unrepresented by any meaningful trade body – might be brought into scope. ‘Is it time to Refresh your Portfolio?’ In this series we aim to take you through various example strategies and how to consider to position your portfolios for recovery. Other webinars in this series: + Navigating the recovery - an equity outlook for the second half of 2021 + Enhance your Fixed Income positions with Euro Bonds + Enhance your portfolio with new diversifiers + How to use Short & Leveraged ETPs to benefit from a global recovery?
